Ozona FL Living … Who Knew the Post Office Could be so Interesting?
Ozona FL’s history is one of our favorite topics, so imagine our delight when we stumbled upon the Palm Harbor Beacon’s recent story ‘Looking Back – Ozona Post Office is the Stamp of History on Palm Harbor‘! As the story points out, in the old days mail could only be sent by train to the north or by horse, by boat or by horse locally in Tampa Bay. Fortunately, this gulf-side community and it’s sister to the north – Crystal Beach – both still have a lot of that “Old-Florida” feel, yet are just minutes to the hustle and bustle of everyday modern living. …. with the added plus of being able to legally cruise one’s golf-cart around the streets of town!
By the way, the new post office is a bit more up to date ….. And yes, once in a blue moon you can find cute little cottages like this for sale (within blocks of multi-million dollar homes).

You may have found that searching for homes here online presents a challenge as some agents that aren’t locals still label these homes in the MLS with an incorrect Palm Harbor zip code – and in their defense – Ozona still is technically a part of Palm Harbor – so it’s a bit confusing unless one lives and breathes this part of town.
