The Pinellas Peach is actually the blog of TWO Palm Harbor Realtors, Julia AND Matt Fishel. While I spent spend some of my time toiling away online to bring you the best information about Palm Harbor Real Estate, Matt also works with sellers and buyers and does vital work behind the scenes, making sure our clients get to the closing tables on time!

We are SUPER blessed to have such a great real estate business. We KNOW how tough it is out there and have watched as some old friends left the business and moved on to other things (they are missed and know who they are!). While there is tons of doom and gloom out there, I thought I would just let you know all of the things we think are worth appreciating in the real estate industry this time of year!

We live and work in the MOST BEAUTIFUL part of the country. Seriously, part of my daily commute includes taking a peek at the intracoastal waterway with the Gulf of Mexico beyond. Oh and let’s not even get going about the birds, flora and fauna – Palm Harbor is TRULY a wonderful place to live and work.

Our clients are SECOND TO NONE! In today’s real estate market, clients DO become like family. We go through the ups and downs of selling or buying a house together, laughing at the absurdness of it all. If patience is a virtue, our clients are the most virtuous in the land and we are so blessed to have the chance to work with them!

The Palm Harbor Real Estate Market

Okay, I know this one seems a little strange based on what you are hearing in the news, but I PROMISE you there is good news out there!

We have helped a fair number of move up buyers get into homes they NEVER would have been able to afford in the hot, hot, hot market. While their homes DID drop in price, the ones they bought did too and they were able to get more than they ever thought possible.

We have also worked with short sale sellers whose stories were heartbreaking, BUT who wound up better off after we helped them get out from under a home they could no longer afford. Getting a thank you letter from one of these sellers is a true honor and makes all the hard work and training worth it!

First time homebuyers! Matt LOVES working with buyers (and refuses to let me buy him a GPS because men don’t need maps, but I digress….) and it is SO great to have homes to show first time homebuyers. In the height of the market, a starter home was close to TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars – REALLY out of range for our teachers, young couples, police and firemen. Now we have options for them to buy their homes and really enjoy living here in the Florida dream.
