Keller Williams Realty Palm Harbor Loves Wall Springs Park!
Keller Williams Realty Palm Harbor hosted its annual family picnic at Wall Springs Park last weekend, so I thought it was high time that I write a post with info about Wall Springs Park. Our son had a blast, as this Palm Harbor Florida park is a favorite amongst kids and nature enthusiasts alike. It has all the necessary yet slightly rustic park-like facilities: drinking fountains, bicycle storage, restrooms, and access to the famous Pinellas Trail. The Palm Harbor YMCA Junior Fishing Tournament was also at Wall Springs Park earlier this summer, and Keller Williams Realty Palm Harbor is the events biggest sponsor each year.
Although swimming is no longer allowed, Wall Springs Park was used as a spa and spring for swimmers from the 20th century in to the mid-1960′s. Wall Springs Park has been a work in progress since Pinellas County started off with the initial purchase of approximately 63 acres in 1988. The park now weighs in at about 195 acres. Winding throughout are boardwalks and lush nature trails and a 35-foot observation tower.
There’s plenty of parking as well as four fishing piers, a covered playground (!!), and four shelters that can be reserved up to a year in advance. With BBQ grills and sheltered picnic tables you can have fun from 7AM until dusk.
Wall Springs is a little tricky to find. Head north on Alt. 19 past Alderman Road, pass the Dairy Freeze and the Moose Lodge on your left, and take the 90 degree left turn on to DeSoto and it’s about a block and half down on your left.
Give us a call at 727-366-0324 if you’d like more information.
