Having personally lived on the water since 1994 I highly recommend it to all. The Sunsets every day over the Gulf are really hard to beat! Do you mind if I put in a shameless plug for Gulf Harbors in New Port Richey. I have a beautiful listing up there on a very deep water canal (18' center) that is nicely protected yet 5 mins out to the open Gulf. Gulf Harbors is a large waterfront community with 2 boat ramps, a private beach, and a very active Civic Association that is optional to join. Excellent post Julia.
